SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN LYTTLETON
At approximately 18:20 on Wednesday evening the 23rd of October 2013 Mr. Theo Petzer (Operational Manager) of Monitor Net received a call from Mr. Jacques Gouverneur who is a sales representative for Monitor Net. Mr. Gouverneur informed Mr. Petzer that a client who just signed up with Monitor Net contacted him and informed him that there are two suspects on his property. Mr. Petzer immediately contacted the control and dispatch centre and requested that the response vehicles in the area be dispatched to the client’s premises. Mr. Petzer, accompanied by two other senior management members, Mr. Patrick Van Schalkwyk and Mr. Etienne Louw were on their way home when the call came through. Mr. Petzer also decided to respond to the premises as they were in the vicinity.
On arrival at the client’s premises in Kruger Avenue Lyttleton, two suspects were spotted on the premises. The suspects were stripping busses of their parts to sell as scrap metal. With each Monitor Net member playing their part the suspects were apprehended. The SAPS was informed of the situation and the suspects were taken to Lyttleton SAPS station.
