    MURDERED PERSON FOUND IN LYTTELTON

On Thursday afternoon the 14th of November 2013 between 12 and 1 pm, Monitor Net response officer: Sammy Mochwedi was dispatched to an alarm activation of a client in the La borie residential complex. When he arrived at the gate, the gardener of the complex informed him that he heard shots that were fired close by.

Sammy investigated and as he was driving up Von Willigh Street he was approached by a person who told him that he saw persons running away from the bridge. Sammy went to the bridge and noticed a man laying in front of an old model Mercedes Benz (white in color) under the bridge. When the officer got closer he noticed that the man was lying in a pool of blood.

Sammy went back to his vehicle and informed the control and dispatch centre. He requested back up and that the SAPS be dispatched to the scene.

About 3 to 5 minutes later Sammy’s back up and the SAPS arrived on the scene. After a forensic team of investigators completed their crime scene analysis, an ambulance arrived to take the body away. The man was declared dead on the scene.

The motive for the murder is unknown.
